access to your field

Access is an important issue with any land, but with a field you should ask these questions:

- is the access owned right up to the public highway?  If not, are there reasons to think the track access will be well maintained?  For example if the track is an access to a farm it will probably be looked after.

- what are your costs in contributing to the maintenance of the trackway?

- is there parking space inside or just outside your field?

- does the access give some flexibility so that you can, for example, turn around a land rover and horse box?

- is there a good hardstanding inside the gate?

- what are the drainage arrangements - is there a danger of flooding?
